$300,000 MEGA Millions® Ticket Sold in Mountain View is Claimed
SACRAMENTO – A lot of times Lottery winners are in shock and disbelief in that moment after they realize they have won a huge prize. In the case of Martha Lopez, when she realized she correctly matched five out of six MEGA Millions numbers to win $322,019, she actually had to pinch herself to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. When Lopez walked into the California Lottery office to claim her prize, she actually had a bruise on her arm to prove it.
Lopez, who frequently buys her Lottery tickets from the same retailer, said that when she and the clerk realized that she had won, they both started crying and jumping for joy. Lopez purchased her winning ticket at Sav Mor Food Store, which is located at 689 Calderon Avenue in Mountain View (Santa Clara County). The ticket successfully matched the numbers 46, 39, 20, 6 and 41, missing only the Mega number of 42.
The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their ticket, keep tickets in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.
