Unclaimed Prizes Given to Schools
The California Lottery in collaboration with the State Controller’s Office and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction announce the transfer of $15,064,892.53 to California’s public schools. This is the cash value of the $28.5 million unclaimed SuperLotto Plus jackpot, that expired in March 2004. The Lottery has forwarded over $580 million in unclaimed Lottery prizes to public schools, since 1985.
