Official Rules
Purpose
The California Lottery is conducting The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw for registered 2nd Chance players as an incentive for players to purchase The Big Spin Scratchers (#1623). Upon submission into the 2nd Chance system, players may receive up to 50 entries into the Bonus Draw.
Promotional Period
The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw will begin May 20, 2024 at 12:00 am Pacific Time and end July 14, 2024 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
The California Lottery reserves the right to terminate or extend this promotion at any time.
Prize
The promotion will have a total of thirty-five (35) winners and prizing totaling $150,000.
Weekly Draws
• During the course of the promotion, there will be eight (8) weekly drawings: Four (4) winners of $2,500 each
• A total of thirty-two (32) winners
• A total of $80,000 in prizing
Final Draw
At the conclusion of the promotion, there will be one (1) draw with three (3) winners:
One (1) winner will receive $50,000
Two (2) winners will receive $10,000 each

The odds of winning a prize vary based on the total number of entries that are received and the total number of entries each player submits.
Eligibility and Participation
Players must be at least 18 years of age. Players must meet eligibility requirements at the time of the promotional drawing. To enter The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw, players must register as a player on the California Lottery website. When registering, players must provide a valid California address. Submissions must be entered from a location within California to be eligible for The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw. Players must provide true and current information. Players must provide their true, full legal name when registering for the 2nd Chance program. Failure to provide player’s full legal name at registration will make player ineligible to receive prizes from the California Lottery. In The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw, only the person identified by name (which was supplied by the player during registration, as described above) as the winner on the California Lottery website at the time the winner's name is posted, may claim the prize from the California Lottery. Any change in name, whether due to marriage or otherwise, must be reflected on the California Lottery’s registration page prior to the draw to be eligible for any prize. Persons who register with fictitious names will be ineligible to win any prize. The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw is not open to certain California Lottery vendors or employees of the California Lottery, their agents, and certain family members residing in the same household in accordance with California Lottery Regulations.
How to Enter
To enter The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw, players must log into their verified California Lottery 2nd Chance account or create a verified account at California Lottery to submit a 2nd Chance code. Any eligible, non-winning The Big Spin Scratchers (#1623) can be entered into the promotion by manual submission at 2nd Chance or by scanning each eligible, non-winning barcode using the California Lottery Official Mobile App.
Players will receive a pop-up upon the submission of an eligible non-winning The Big Spin Scratchers ticket inviting them to either play or skip the Play-for-Fun experience (digital extension). If the user chooses to play, they tap the “SPIN” button on screen and will be shown the spinning wheel digital experience which will reveal the pre-determined number of entries assigned to their ticket at its conclusion; players who choose to skip will be taken directly to the screen revealing the number of bonus entries won. Choosing to play or skip the digital extension experience will not affect the number of bonus entries awarded.
Upon completion of an eligible ticket submission, players will be able to see the total bonus entries earned into each The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance promotion weekly draw for which the ticket is eligible (based on time of submission), The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance promotion Grand Prize draw, and the applicable Scratchers 2nd Chance weekly bonus draw in their 2nd Chance player account. Players will receive the standard number of entries based on price point (i.e., $5 ticket receives five (5) entries), up to 50 entries, for every eligible, non-winning The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance code submitted. The California Lottery is utilizing an optional digital extension for this game as a promotional advertising feature. Entries awarded are predetermined based on ticket purchased and not affected by playing or not playing the digital extension.
Each 2nd Chance account will be limited to no more than a combined 500 code submissions per calendar month per participant. Entering a code is considered a submission; submissions that offer multiple entries count as only one submission regardless of the number of associated entries.

Eligible, non-winning The Big Spin Scratchers (#1623) 2nd Chance codes must be submitted during the promotional period to be eligible for entry into The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw.

Each non-winning The Big Spin Scratchers entered into the 2nd Chance bonus draw will be eligible for the weekly prize beginning the period it was entered, as well as the final grand prize drawing; entries earned for a specific week’s bonus draw will carry over into the next week’s entry pool starting from the initial week of entry (i.e. entries received from a ticket submitted on 5/29/24 will be eligible for The Big Spin Scratchers Week 2 drawing, and all non-winning entries will be carried over into the following weeks’ draws).
The final draw will occur within fifteen (15) calendar days after the promotional period ends with alternates drawn in the event a winner is disqualified. Draws will take place in accordance with California Lottery Regulations and procedures. All eligible, non-winning The Big Spin Scratchers (#1623) 2nd Chance codes submitted into the draw are also automatically entered into the regular Scratchers 2nd Chance Weekly Pool Draws that apply.
Winner Notification and Claims
The winners of The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw will be posted on the California Lottery website within twenty (20) calendar days after the entry deadline. The California Lottery will randomly select alternate winners from the eligible The Big Spin Scratchers 2nd Chance Bonus Draw. Using the contact information provided to the California Lottery by the winners, the California Lottery will email the winners a courtesy notification regarding their 2nd Chance submission, instructing them to log in to their account as soon as possible for further details. Upon log in, the winners will be notified of the winning prize. The winners must submit a 2nd Chance Claim Form in accordance with California Lottery Regulations and procedures. In the event the winners do not claim their prize within 180 days from the ‘Winners Posted By’ date, the winners will waive all rights to the prize.
