Keomarit Sengsavang is a self-proclaimed “super-mega-power lottery player.” To him what that means is he plays all the California Lottery draw games on a regular basis. On Saturday night that dedication paid off, as Sengsavang won $534,961 on a Powerball ticket that matched five of six numbers.
Sengsavang matched the numbers 16, 19, 20, 29 and 33, missing just the Powerball number 10. “I had a dream about these numbers about a year ago. In my dream though the Powerball number was 6 and not 10 like what was drawn on Saturday night,” Sengsavang told the California Lottery.
“I checked the ticket when I got into the office on Monday. I let out a couple of yells and made a bit of a scene. I had to have a coworker check the ticket to confirm I had won,” the San Diego-based salesperson said.
Sengsavang said he thought about buying either a new Corvette or BMW with his winnings, but his financial sensibility got the better of him and says he will most likely put the money in a savings account.
