California voters created the California Lottery in 1984, and we sold our first ticket one year later. Since then we have matured, grown and prospered. But smart growth means we have to continually offer new games and promotions, plan strategically, and attract motivated, committed employees.

The California Lottery is a great place to work!  Our Sacramento headquarters is in a beautiful, new, and environmentally-friendly building. We moved into the building in 2011. It’s a LEED Certified Gold building, which means it was designed with energy and water efficiency in mind.  The building is located off I-5 and Richards Boulevard in the thriving “River District” and has plenty of free parking – something not many downtown state agencies can claim.
