Retirement is going to come early for a 60-year-old aircraft mechanic from Fullerton. The mechanic, Michael Loveless, has won the $2 million jackpot from the Set for Life Scratchers® ticket.
Loveless said he “felt great” when he found out that he was a winner. “I was very excited,” he said.
Loveless had been planning to work two more years at Northrop Grumman in El Segundo, but now plans to retire in six months so he can spend more time pursuing his passion: surfing. Loveless will also spend some of the proceeds from his award to buy his son-in-law a surfboard and to help his daughter.
Loveless purchased the winning ticket at Cata Liquor in La Mirada on 15510 La Mirada Boulevard. The “Set for Life” jackpot pays the winner $100,000 each year for 20 years.
