It is tough not to fantasize about what you might do if you hit the lottery. A Cottonwood man doesn’t have to imagine anymore. He is actually living that moment.
Jason Savage was one of the seven California Lottery players who matched five of six numbers in the MEGA Millions® draw last Friday. The jackpot was $290 million. Savage’s prize for hitting five of six is $259,268.
“It is better than a dream,” Savage said. He drives trucks for a living and said he purchased his ticket while making a fuel stop. Now he has another magical trip planned. Savage and his wife Ann are taking their two children to Disneyland.
Savage purchased his ticket at Cottonwood Texaco, which is located 19845 South Main Street in Cottonwood (Shasta County). His ticket matched the numbers 6, 17, 19, 20, 21, and missed only the Mega number of 20.
