Frank Harris doesn’t hesitate when you ask how he’s feeling today. “It seems like I’m digging my way out of a hole,” he said. Frank experienced a big breath of fresh air today as he was finishing up the paperwork to claim a MEGA Millions® prize worth $296,808.
That ticket successfully matched the numbers 41, 39, 53, 32 and 16, missing only the Mega number of 16 in Tuesday night’s draw. Frank didn’t know he had won until he returned to Gage Liquor, which is located at 6220 South San Pedro Street in Los Angeles. That’s where he bought the lucky ticket and had it verified. “You’d have seen me smiling,” said Frank about what we might have witnessed had anyone had a camera on him when he got the news.
Frank told us he’s lived in the Los Angeles County area for years and has been steadily pushing along. However, the money he just won will make things a whole lot easier. He’s said he’s got things to take care of, and that includes his kids. Some are grown now, but according to Frank, “I’m still their dad.”
Hitting five numbers instead of six means he missed out on the jackpot. “One more number and it would have been even better,” said Frank with a laugh.
