  • Wealth of Possibilities Following $1 Million Scratchers® Win in San Bernardino County!

  • Every once in a while life throws things at you and you have to put your dreams on hold. Thanks to a huge win on a California Black Exclusive Scratchers ticket, Karen Garcia will finally get back to work on pursuing her goals.

The 23-year-old told us she had been taking classes at a community college, but had to scale back, way back, because she couldn’t juggle that and working overnights at her former job as a warehouse worker. Finally, there’s a glimmer of renewed hope. Garcia won $1 million on a CA Lottery ticket. “I started screaming,” Garcia said about the moment one her numbers matched a winning number. Right below that was a prize amount of $1,000,000! “I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was one of those fake tickets.” Oh, it’s real. You can see the winning ticket pictured below. Right next to that is a picture of Garcia, grinning from ear to ear, after claiming that ticket at a California Lottery District Office.

Who can blame her? Now, Garcia can focus on what this win could mean for her and her family. “It brings a little bit of calm to our house,” Garcia said. For one, she and her husband can buy their own home. They had been living with a family member. She’s also reimagining another long-term goal. “I can go on with school,” Garcia said. “I can go full time!”

The possibilities are endless due to this win and they aren’t confined to our lucky winner. The $10 ticket that reaped such fortune was sold at the Chevron located at 11285 Sierra Avenue in Fontana (San Bernardino County). The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling that ticket. Who’s next?
