OFFICIAL RULES
The California Lottery is conducting the Fantasy 5 - 2nd Chance draw as a purchase incentive bonus to players for every $5 spent in a single Fantasy 5 transaction.
Prizes
Three (3) winners of $10,000 and twelve (12) winners of $1,000 for each Fantasy 5 - 2nd Chance drawing.
How to Enter
All players who purchase $5 or more in a single Fantasy 5 transaction will receive an entry code for every $5 spent. A player can receive up to ten (10) entry codes in a single Fantasy 5 transaction. Players may enter no more than one thousand (1,000) submissions per calendar month. If the player enters more than one thousand (1,000) submissions (draw games and Scratchers tickets combined), the player will be disqualified from all draws open during that month. Players are solely responsible for monitoring their number of submissions each calendar month. Entry codes can only be entered online for a weekly drawing for cash prizes. No mail-in entries will be accepted. To be eligible, entry codes must be submitted within one (1) year of issuance. Codes will not be accepted if entered more than one (1) year after issuance and therefore are ineligible for any prizes.
The odds of winning vary based on the total number of entries that are received for a drawing, the total number of prizes awarded for each draw and the total number of entries an individual has submitted. Players may not win more than one (1) prize in each drawing.
How to Win
All submissions are eligible for entry into a single Fantasy 5 - 2nd Chance drawing. Fantasy 5 - 2nd Chance drawing winners will receive an email notification from the Lottery alerting them to sign-in to their account where they will see a winner notification message. Winners must submit a Winner Claim Form in accordance with Lottery Regulations and procedures.
The names of winners from each drawing will be posted on the Lottery’s website. Using the contact information provided to the Lottery by the player, the Lottery will notify each winner by e-mail to login into their account for “important information”. Upon login, the winner will be notified of the winning prize. Winners for each drawing will be posted by Friday at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time for the previous week’s drawing.
Drawings
Drawings will take place in accordance with Lottery Regulations and procedures. Five (5) alternate winners will be chosen per drawing in the event a selected entry is not valid. Entries are eligible for only one (1) Fantasy 5 - 2nd Chance drawing. An entry code is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
Eligibility and Participation
Participation is open to persons 18-years of age and older. Participants must meet eligibility requirements at the time of drawing. Fantasy 5 - 2nd Chance is not open to certain Lottery vendors or employees of the California Lottery, their agents, and their family members residing in the same household.
Additional Terms
Participants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules in addition to state and federal law and applicable California Lottery Regulations. Proof of age, eligibility, and identity must be furnished upon request. Participants agree to the use of their name, likeness, and hometown for advertising and publicity purposes, without compensation. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner. By participating in the draw, and/or accepting any prize or promotional award, participants agree to and do release and hold harmless the California Lottery and its commissioners, employees, agents, and officers from any claim, demand, judgment, award, and/or any liability of any kind whatsoever. The California Lottery reserves the right to modify or terminate this program at any time. In the event of a conflict, these Official Rules supersede any applicable general rules or advertisements of the California Lottery.
