$1 Million Scratchers® Win Inspires Player to do Good Deeds
SACRAMENTO – John Jackson is a genuinely nice guy. He was excited when he won $100 on the $250 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers game, but he could hardly believe his eyes when he saw that he won the $1 million top prize! He ran his ticket through the Check-a-Ticket a few times and then showed it to the clerk, but it was what he did next that makes him such a nice guy. Jackson went to the ATM, withdrew $400, and then gave the clerk the $100 winning ticket and the $400 cash.
Jackson, who is a building contractor, then went to work where he couldn’t contain his excitement. He explains, “I had a meeting and I had to share my news and then all my guys were there so we had a big group hug.” Again, his next act qualifies him as a nice guy – “When they asked if they could have the day off, I told them ‘No’ but that I would pay them double for the day, and I will!”
Jackson purchased his ticket at the Chevron located at 601 Vista Del Mar in El Segundo (Los Angeles County). Chevron will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
With his winnings, Jackson plans to begin “working for himself” and buying spec homes, remodeling and selling them to make a profit. He and his wife also want to buy their own home and possibly take a cruise to the British West Indies or Hawaii – or both!
