Winning Fantasy 5 Ticket Sold in Rosemead is Claimed
SACRAMENTO – Ton Du has a pretty unique story about his winning Fantasy 5 ticket. The unique part isn’t that he won $187,960, it’s that he didn’t even pay the regular $1 for his winning ticket. That’s because his winning ticket was actually a replay ticket he had from the Fantasy 5 draw the day before, so he didn’t have to pay for it. Du’s ticket was one of four tickets that matched all five numbers – 38, 39, 16, 15, and 30 – in last Saturday night’s Fantasy 5 draw, splitting the $750,000 top prize.
Du purchased his ticket at Doug’s Liquor, which is located at 8817 East Valley Boulevard in Rosemead (Los Angeles County) where he regularly purchases his Lottery tickets. Du says he doesn’t know what he’ll do with his prize yet, he just plans to put it in savings and figure out what to do with it in the future.
The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their tickets, keep tickets in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.
