Huge Winning “California Lucky for Life” Ticket Sold in Stockton

Share:

Man Wins $2,500 a Week for 25 Years

SACRAMENTO – A California Lottery retailer in Stockton is celebrating a big win at the store. We’ve been telling you about the brand new California Lucky for Life family of Scratchers®. The payouts are huge, ranging from $500, $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 a week for 25 years, depending on which ticket price point you’re playing. Someone has claimed one of those top-prize winning tickets.

Carlos Silva bought a California Lucky for Life Scratcher at the $5 level at Water Food Mart, which is located at 4315 East Waterloo Road in Stockton. Boy, did it pay off. The word “LIFE” on that ticket scored the biggest prize you can get on that $5 Scratcher…$2,500 a week for 25 years! No need to do the math, we’ll do it for you. Those weekly wallet refills eventually come to $3,250,000. Silva isn’t the only winner. The retailer will receive $16,250 just for selling the winning ticket.

The California Lucky for Life Scratchers family is part of the Lottery’s continued effort to give out more prizes, create more winners and earn more money for education. Games are available at the $1, $2, $5, and $10 price points. Each price point offers a similar play style. If you match any of your numbers to any of the winning numbers you uncover when you scratch the ticket, then you win that prize. If you uncover a money bag symbol, you automatically win the prize associated with it. And, if you uncover a LIFE symbol, you win the top prize for that game – a prize paid out weekly over the course of 25 years, or available as a lump sum amount. As you move up in price from $1 to $10, you have more chances to win and the potential prizes just keep getting higher.

Starting with the $1 game, players can win prizes ranging from a free ticket all the way up to $500 a week for 25 years. Four lucky players will win the top prize, which is also available as a $375,000 lump sum payment. The $2 ticket offers players the chance to win prizes ranging from a free ticket all the way up to $1,000 a week for 25 years. Four lucky players will win the top prize, which is also available as a $750,000 lump sum payment. The $5 ticket offers players the chance to win prizes ranging from a free ticket all the way up to $2,500 a week for 25 years. A whopping 10 lucky players will win the top prize, which is also available as a $1.9 million lump sum payment. And finally, the $10 ticket offers players the chance to win prizes ranging from a free ticket all the way up to the grandest prize of all – $5,000 a week for 25 years. Ten lucky players will win the top prize, which is also available as a lump sum payment of $3,750,000 – the largest instant prize the Lottery has ever offered.

The winning doesn’t stop there – like all Lottery Scratchers games, the California Lucky for Life games come with second chances to win the top prizes, as well as a bonus draw. Just subscribe to our 2nd Chance Program and submit any non-winning California Lucky for Life Scratchers ticket code for a chance to win. Five weekly winners will get $1,000, and one final grand-prize winner will get $10,000. For more information on the bonus draws, please click here.
