SACRAMENTO, December 25, 2003 - Lottery Officials have announced the SuperLotto Plus jackpot for Saturday, December 27, 2003 at $61 million after no one matched the winning combination--9, 10, 41, 19, 30, MEGA 24--drawn Wednesday evening. "Some lucky winner will celebrate the New Year with a $61 million jackpot, "said Lottery CEO Anthony Molica. "And California's public schools will benefit by receiving $38 million from the draw sales associated with this jackpot."

A single jackpot winner of $61 million who chooses the 26 graduated annual payments would receive approximately $1,525,000 the first year and those payments would graduate to $3,111,000 by the 26th year (before taxes). A single jackpot winner who chose the cash option would receive the estimated cash value which is roughly half the announced jackpot or $30.5 million (before taxes).

The retailer who sells a single winning $61 million ticket will receive a $305,000 bonus SuperLotto Plus can be played at more than 18,000 retail business establishments statewide. The SuperLotto Plus draw takes place each Wednesday and Saturday night at 7:58 p.m. Players can purchase tickets until 7:45 p.m. on the night of the draw.
