SACRAMENTO -- The California Lottery's "Big Spin® 2000" show airs Saturday, July 24, 1999 in twelve television markets statewide. Contestants on this week's show won a total of $156,000.
Three players were looking for their slice of Fame & Fortune on this week's show. Consuelo Galindo, a homemaker from Cudahy won $11,000 and then another $30,000 and was this week's top Fame & Fortune winner with a total of $41,000. Galindo plans to buy a new car and help out her sons. Vincent Moreno Jr. doesn't usually buy Scratchers®, but one day he went to the gas station and the clerk told him he needed to buy two Fame & Fortune® tickets. The clerk's advice brought Moreno, a truck driver from Fresno, to the Big Spin 2000 show where Moreno won $7,500. Janet Sanford, an in-home nurse from Riverside won $5,000.

Fantasy 5 Dream Machine winner, Linda Doughty, a business owner from Morgan Hill, watches or tapes the Big Spin 2000 shows every week. She taped the show one weekend while she was out of town and when she watched it, she saw that her name had been announced to appear on the show. "I didn't believe it!" exclaimed Doughty. Doughty won $10,000 and plans to buy a new computer and buy her husband the new potato masher he wanted.

Judith Dominguez, a quality control inspector from Lost Hills got to the Mother Lode playing California Gold. Dominguez won $30,000. When asked what she plans to do with the money she wins, Dominguez said she would pay off her home and help her children and sister.
