2nd Chance Pays Off Huge for Salinas Scratchers® Player

SACRAMENTO – For California Lottery Scratchers players across the state, their non-winning tickets paid off big time this week, as 10 players picked up $518,665 combined. Their 2nd Chance win happened after they simply entered their tickets in the California Lottery’s website.

The biggest winner of them all was Susan Herrera of Salinas, who won $250,000 in the End-of-Game Top Prize draw for the $5 Strike It Rich Scratchers game.

Thanks to the Lottery’s 2nd Chance Program, players who do not win a cash prize from their favorite Scratchers game still have one last chance to win the top prize using the information from their non-winning ticket.

Don’t throw your Scratchers tickets away! The Lottery’s 2nd Chance Program gives players a second chance to win prizes with their non-winning Scratchers ticket codes. The rules are simple – players who purchase Scratchers tickets can enter their codes on the Lottery’s 2nd Chance website at Chance for a second chance to win top prizes. Each ticket code can only be entered once.

The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. More than 96 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
