Lottery’s Pro Football Replay Program Set to Launch Tomorrow

SACRAMENTO – Last week, the California Lottery joined forces with all three of California’s pro football franchises to officially launch each team’s new Scratchers® tickets – which are now available in retail locations across the state.

The ticket allows fans of the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, and San Diego Chargers to scratch off tickets that prominently feature their team’s logo and 12 team helmets to see if they have won cash prizes of up to $20,000.

But if they don’t win the first time around, there is nothing to worry about. All of these tickets can be entered in the Lottery’s Replay Program, which gives players a second opportunity to win. Prizes in this program are aimed at making the dreams of football fans come true.

Fans may not win cash on the first attempt, but second chances prizes include VIP road trips to see their team in action, VIP suites at home games, season tickets for 2011, tailgate parties, trips to training camp, merchandise autographed by some of your favorite players, and a chance to win a trip to the 2011 pro football draft in New York.

The Replay promotion begins tomorrow at 8 a.m. and continues through November 28, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. Players that purchase Pro Football Scratchers tickets can enter non-winning ticket numbers at for a chance to win one or more of the prizes listed above. Each non-winning ticket can only be entered once and is eligible for each draw category. When a player enters a Pro Football Scratchers ticket code, that specific code is only eligible for the team prizes associated with that ticket. No mail-in entries will be accepted.

In addition, when fans visit to enter their non-winners, they will also be able to experience the website’s many interactive features, including playing the Field Goal Frenzy game, uploading their fanatic photo and trying their hand at face painting, and testing their knowledge with team trivia.

The site will also keep a running tally of how many fans entered tickets with each team’s logo on them. Last season the 49ers reigned supreme…which team will come out on top this year? It remains to be seen, so be sure to support your team!

The California Lottery is celebrating 25 years of enhancing education and supporting local communities. More than 94 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail commissions. Since 2000, Lottery players have contributed $1 billion to public schools each year, and, since we began in 1985, Lottery players have contributed more than $22 billion to education.
