$30 Million Jackpot Winning Mega Millions® Ticket Purchased in Los Angeles!

$233,000 Bay Area Ticket Matching Five of Six Numbers Purchased in Union City

SACRAMENTO – It was a mega start to the weekend as two lucky California Lottery Mega Millions players are big winners tonight.

The biggest winner was one lucky player who matched all six numbers tonight in the Mega Millions drawing winning $30 million! That lucky ticket was purchased at the Century City 76 station located at 10389 Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles. That lucky retailer picks up a bonus of $150,000, or one half of one percent. That ticket successfully matched all six winning numbers 15, 10, 54, 1, 41, and the Mega number 9.

In the Bay Area one lucky player matched five of the six numbers winning $233,651. That lucky ticket was purchased at Island Pacific Supermarket located at 4122 Dyer Street in Union City (Alameda County). That ticket matched 15, 10, 54, 1, 41, but missed the Mega number 9.

The California Lottery strongly urges the winners from tonight’s draw to sign the back of their tickets in ink, obviously keep them in a safe place and visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. The winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their prizes.

Mega Millions is played in California (and 42 other states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers. Please visit the California Lottery’s Mega Millions site for more information on how to play.

The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. More than 95 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
