$800,000 Benicia Ticket Expires Today
SACRAMENTO – California Lottery officials are asking lottery players in Benicia to spend the day checking every secret hiding place. That’s because 5 p.m. today is the last chance to claim a MEGA Millions® prize worth $796,804.
The winning ticket was purchased for the September 29 draw at the CVS Pharmacy, 2100 Columbus Parkway, and matched five of six numbers. The winning numbers were 45, 21, 50, 25, 2 and the Mega number – the only number the ticket did not hit – was 21.
The California Lottery reminds the winner to sign the back of the ticket, keep the ticket in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes. This ticket expires at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010. If the ticket is not claimed, the prize money will go to public education.
MEGA Millions is a multi-state game, played in California and 34 other states. Players pick five numbers from 1 to 56 plus a Mega number from 1 to 46. Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers.
