Another California Lottery Player is Set For Life

Jose Santiago

SACRAMENTO – Santiago Jose said that he has always dreamt of one day hitting it big. Well, Jose doesn’t have to dream any longer, because yesterday afternoon he walked into the Lottery’s Sacramento District Office holding a Set For Life Scratchers® ticket worth $2 million!

Jose purchased his winning Scratchers ticket at Mr. Blue’s Donuts, which is located at 19009 Van Buren Boulevard in Riverside (Riverside County), and said he’d like to use his winnings to purchase a new home.

Set For Life is a $5 Scratchers game. Overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.90. Cash odds are 1 in 5.92.

The retailer will receive a bonus check of $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. More than 94 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. Since 2000, Lottery players have contributed $1 billion to public schools each year, and, since we began in 1985, Lottery players have contributed a total of more than $25 billion to education. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
