POWERBALL® Jackpot Hits $127 Million for Tomorrow's Draw
Lottery Headquarters Lights Building Green in Honor of Jackpot Fever
SACRAMENTO – Guess what? Since no one matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s POWERBALL jackpot, it just keeps on growing – up to an impressive $127 million for tomorrow night’s draw. This marks the second time since California joined the multi-state game back in April that the jackpot amount has eclipsed the $100 million mark. Of course the first time it happened the jackpot ended up at $590.5 million, so who knows where we’ll go from here?
The estimated cash option for tomorrow night’s $127 million jackpot draw is $77.3 million. The retailer who sells the jackpot-winning ticket will receive a bonus of $386,500. For reference, the largest Lottery jackpot ever won was a MEGA Millions jackpot on March 30, 2012. That jackpot was $656 million with a cash option of $474 million.
In honor of the large jackpot, the California Lottery’s Headquarters building in Sacramento will be illuminated with green lights to signify that we are officially in the midst of jackpot fever.
