$468,000 Mega Millions® Ticket Purchased in Bay Area Finally Claimed!
SACRAMENTO – It may have taken her over a month, but Milandi Almaweri is nearly half a million dollars richer after claiming her May 9th Mega Millions drawing ticket worth $468,905!
Her ticket matched the numbers 39, 10, 59, 28 and 51, missing just the Mega number 14.
Almaweri told the California Lottery that last week she stopped at a retail location and checked the multiple tickets she had purchased over the past month. That’s when she was told she had won big!
That winning ticket was purchased at San Leandro Express Liquors, which is located at 138 West Juana Avenue in San Leandro (Alameda County).
Mega Millions is played in California (and 42 other states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST.
