Calm Determination Pays Off Huge in Riverside County!
Man Claims MEGA Millions® Ticket Worth $481,000
SACRAMENTO – You might say Kenneth Eberwein has been the Chicago Cubs of Lottery players. After all, the 66 year-old Riverside County man says he’s been playing California Lottery games every week since their inception almost three decades ago, but has really never won anything big. That is, until now!
Believe it or not, Eberwein says he was cool as a cucumber after he checked his computer and discovered he matched five of six MEGA Millions numbers. How can anyone be so laid back after finding out they’d won a cool $481,220 on a $5 investment?!
“I don’t know. That’s just the way I am. I’m calm at just about everything,” said a, well yes, calm Eberwein, who added he is looking forward to paying off his mortgage now. He’s also going to upgrade a couple of cruises he’s had planned with his wife to first class. Who can blame him!
The Golden State’s latest big winner purchased his ticket at Norco Fueling, located at 2740 Hamner Avenue in Norco (Riverside County). Using a Quick Pick, Eberwein correctly matched the numbers 51, 32, 25, 50 and 35, missing only the Mega number of 46.
MEGA Millions is played in California (and 42 other states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Players pick five numbers from 1 to 56 plus a Mega number from 1 to 46.
