Milpitas Woman Comes Forward to Claim $14 Million SuperLotto Plus® Prize
SACRAMENTO – Thi Nguyen is a loyal Lottery player, but she admits she’s only in it for the big money. In other words, Thi only plays SuperLOTTO Plus and MEGA Millions when the jackpots reach the multi-million dollar levels. Well, her strategy recently paid off when she won the $14 million SuperLotto Plus jackpot on September 29th!
For Nguyen, playing the Lottery is a family affair since her brother often buys tickets for their father. On that lucky day she couldn’t go to the store to buy her tickets, so she instead gave her brother $3 to buy them for her. Nguyen isn’t sure what she’ll do with her prize, but helping her family and donating to her temple is definitely on her list.
Nguyen’s ticket was purchased at Ocean Super Market, which is located at 2 South Park Victoria Drive in Milpitas (Santa Clara County). The winning numbers were 30, 27, 4, 3, 39 and Mega 3. The retailer will receive a bonus of one half percent, or $70,000, for selling the winning ticket.
The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities.
