Contestants Win a Total of $175,500 on “The Big Spin®” Show
SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $175,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
The sole “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” player was Leigh Platte, a medical science liaison from Topanga, who was happy to win $70,000. Ms. Platte, who buys her tickets at Ralph’s Grocery in Woodland Hills, said, “I’m going to make home improvements with my winnings.”
From the “Aces High” round, Ralph Espinosa, a retiree from Mendota, won the opportunity to spin “The Big Spin” wheel. Espinosa bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Ultramar in Mendota and uncovered TV Show -TV Show -TV Show and went directly to “The Big Spin” show and spun the wheel for $30,000. “I’m going to share this money with my family and go on vacation,” said Espinosa.
Thomas Gordon, an electrician from Redondo Beach purchased his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at A & C Liquor in La Verne and uncovered Spin-Spin-Spin when he scratched it. After spinning the largest lottery wheel in the world, Gordon won $25,000, and said, “It was exciting to spin the wheel and I plan to take a nice vacation with my winnings.”
This week “The Big Spin®” show had the grand finale of the exciting promotional game called “Cash Match,” where contestants have a chance to win a minimum cash prize of $1,000 to a maximum of $25,000. The two contestants on the “Cash Match” game were John Totten from Hawthorne who won $1,000. The other contestant was Marietta Dressler from Chico who was pleased to go home with $2,000. The game’s grand prize winner was Misty Adams from Sacramento who won the $25,000 jackpot.
