$300,000 Mega Millions® Ticket Sold in Burbank Remains Unclaimed

Share:

SACRAMENTO – If you bought a Mega Millions ticket about a month ago, check your pockets, glove compartment, sock drawer or anywhere else you can think of, because you just might be sitting on a large chunk of change. That’s because on March 28th, a California Lottery player was one number away from hitting a $15 million Mega Millions jackpot. The player did, however, successfully match five out of six numbers to win a very sweet prize of $344,779! Thirty days have now passed, and that valuable ticket remains unclaimed.

The lucky ticket matched the numbers 2, 9, 50, 3 and 73, just missing the Mega number of 12. The ticket was sold at Burbank Deli & Market, which is located at 1414 West Alameda in Burbank (Los Angeles County).  The winner has 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize. If the prize goes unclaimed, all of the unclaimed prize money will go back to schools.

Mega Millions is played in California (and 42 other states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers. Please visit the California Lottery’s Mega Millions site for more information on how to play.

The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. More than 95 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
