Convenience Store Stop Leads to Big $750,000 Crossword Payday

Jesus Quezada 300

SACRAMENTO – A last minute after work stop for supplies last Friday evening paid off big time for Jesus Quezada! That’s because the Garden Grove lottery player picked up a $10 20X Crossword Scratchers® ticket and won big! In fact, he scored the $750,000 top prize!

“I jumped up and down when I scanned the ticket. I couldn’t believe it,” Quezada told the California Lottery.

Quezada admitted that he hardly buys the $10 Scratchers tickets and instead usually plays $1 and $5 games. Quezada, who is a construction worker, says he plans to put the win to good use by using the money to purchase investment properties.

The winning certainly doesn’t stop there – like all Lottery Scratchers games, the 20X Crossword game comes with a second chance to win the top prize. Just subscribe to our 2nd Chance Program and submit any non-winning 20X Crossword Scratchers ticket codes for another chance to win. The game is part of the Lottery’s continued effort to give out more prizes, create more winners and earn more money for California public schools.

The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. More than 95 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
