Alameda MEGA Millions® Ticket Worth Over $200,000 is Claimed!

SACRAMENTO – Armin Hernandez had a really hard time sleeping the other night. But don’t feel sorry for him, he was just too busy dreaming about what to do with all his lottery winnings. On April 2, Hernandez correctly matched five out of six MEGA Millions numbers to win a sweet prize of $201,115!

Although Hernandez was indeed up all night thinking about the nice chunk of change coming to him, he told us that he hasn’t yet decided what he will do with his winnings. Hernandez purchased the winning MEGA Millions ticket at the Safeway Fuel Station located at 2234 Otis Drive in Alameda. The lucky ticket successfully matched the numbers 47, 10, 40, 14 and 7, missing only the Mega number of 34.

Tonight’s MEGA Millions jackpot is an estimated $56 million. The estimated cash value of the jackpot is $42.3 million.

The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their ticket, keep tickets in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.

MEGA Millions is a multistate game, played in California and 43 other jurisdictions (41 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands).
