Do You Know This Man? He Has $465,000 Coming and May Not Even Know it’s Waiting for Him!

Unless He Acts Fast, Will Lose Nearly Half a Million Dollars in Just Three Weeks!

SACRAMENTO – Sitting at work, bored to death, have you ever thought, “If only I came across a large pile of cash to [insert dream here]”? Well for one lucky California Lottery player in Los Angeles, dreams could very well turn to nightmares – unless that is, he acts fast! The lucky man played Powerball on May 22 and matched 5 out of 6 numbers, missing only the Powerball number to win a $465,539 prize. But that was five months ago, and for some reason, he still hasn’t claimed his cash!! So what’s the hold up?! If the man pictured below fails to claim his prize by Nov. 18, he’ll lose it all!

Last year, the California Lottery began publicizing surveillance photos of suspected winners whose valuable tickets are scheduled to expire. So far, we’ve connected two lucky winners with millions of dollars in prizes. Marita and Bladimir Agnite claimed their $52 million prize on August 31, 2012, while single mom Julie Cervera collected her $23 million winnings three months later in November. Both found out they were BIG winners with the help of our surveillance photo program.

If no one comes forward, the ticket will expire at 5 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013 and the entire prize amount will be transferred to public schools.

The winning ticket was sold at Whitley Heights Market, which is located at 1900 North Highland Avenue in Los Angeles. The ticket successfully matched the numbers 31-35-41-9-57, missing only the Powerball number of 26.

The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their tickets, keep tickets in a safe place and visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.

Powerball is a multistate game played in California (and 42 other states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Draw times are Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:59 p.m. PST. Tickets sales are suspended from 7:00 p.m. to 7:05 p.m. the day of the draw. Tickets are $2 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers. Please visit the California Lottery’s Powerball site for more information on how to play.

The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. More than 96 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
