Family Receives a $1,000,000 Fortune for Christmas
SACRAMENTO – Francisco Rios always believed that Lottery made big winners and, throughout his years of playing Scratchers® and draw games, he knew his time would come. “When?” was the only question.
Here and there, Rios won small amounts of money playing $5 Scratchers until he decided to try $10 Scratchers games. After a small streak of non-winners, Rios took a chance on the $1,000,000 Fortune Scratchers ticket. While he was skeptical, his daughter could tell there was a sign of good luck when he purchased two tickets this past Sunday. Both ticket codes ended in “44.” The first ticket was a non-winner, but the second, a $1,000,000 Fortune Scratchers ticket, revealed the whopping “big win” Rios had been playing for. A family man, Rios called his wife to share, “Honey, we hit the big one!” She didn’t believe him until they claimed their $1,000,000 ticket at the Van Nuys office this Christmas Eve.
Rios said he’s always believed that he would win and did not expect his win to come at this time. But, he is happy that it’s here and it has given him and his family more reason to celebrate this holiday season. Rios bought his lucky $10 ticket at 7 & 7 Liquor, which is located at 13654 Victory Boulevard in Van Nuys (Los Angeles County).
