Contestants Win a Total of $267,500 on “The Big Spin®” Show
SACRAMENTO – Contestants from across the state won a total of $267,500 during this weekend’s “The Big Spin®” show.
The first player at the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” was Margaret Grinder, a homemaker from Victorville, who won $85,000. “This was a lot of fun and a great experience for me and my family,” said Ms. Grinder who buys her Fantasy 5 tickets at La Paz Chevron in Victorville. The second player to challenge the Fantasy 5 Dream Machine was Carlos Lopez, a security guard from Los Angeles who won $60,000. Lopez, who bought his tickets at Grand Central Market Liquor in Los Angeles, plans to use part of his winnings to travel to Trinidad to visit his mother.
Spinning the largest game wheel in the world was Dana Harris, a hospital employee from Stockton who won $50,000. Ms. Harris, who bought her first Big Spin Scratchers® ticket on New Year’s Eve at KMart in Stockton, won a free ticket. She redeemed her free ticket and when she scratched it, she uncovered Spin-Spin-Spin and earned a direct trip to the wheel. “I was shocked when I realized that I was going to spin the big wheel!” said Harris.
From the “Aces High” round, Josefina Vallejo from Fresno won the opportunity to spin “The Big Spin” wheel. Ms. Vallejo bought her Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Mighty Mart in Sanger and uncovered TV Show -TV Show -TV Show and earned a trip to “The Big Spin” show. When she spun the wheel for $50,000, Vallejo said, “I’m speechless! I didn’t expect to win this much money.”
