$1 Million Scratchers® Win in Rancho Cucamonga

SACRAMENTO – David Nelson stopped at a local market to grab his fiancé a Rockstar energy drink. While standing in line, he had the sudden impulse to buy a Lottery ticket. Nelson ended up purchasing two $250 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers tickets. While at dinner with friends, Nelson scratched his tickets off and was in shock after the second ticket revealed a $1 million top prize!

Nelson, who was still in disbelief, drove to the Lottery’s Inland Empire District Office to validate his win.

The ticket was purchased at MS Food Store, which is located at 8514 Vineyard Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga (San Bernardino County). MS Food Store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The $250 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers ticket is part of the Lottery’s continued effort to give out more prizes, create more winners and earn more money for education. The oversized ticket features a unique holographic design and, in total, offers more than a quarter of a billion dollars in prizes. To play, simply match any of “Your Numbers” to any of the six “Winning Numbers” and win that prize. Uncover a “star” symbol and win $100 instantly. Uncover a “WIN” symbol and win all 20 prizes automatically! Overall game odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.50. Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1.2 million.

The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. More than 94 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation.
