Our contributions to education make a real difference in every California public school classroom.
Every year since 2000 the California Lottery has contributed more than $1 billion to California public schools. Yep, that’s billion with a “B”. Although that sounds like a lot of money, once it’s divided up between every K-12, Community College, University of California, California State University and several specialized campuses, that amount becomes far more modest. Still, it’s largely unrestricted money schools don’t have. It’s also funding they can use to provide equipment, supplies or programs they would otherwise do without. Teachers tell us that in the end, it makes a big difference!
