We’ve had our first promotional draw for the SuperLotto Plus Raffle, so we thought this would be a good time to update you on the status of the promotion and answer some of the more frequent questions we’ve received to date.
We launched this Raffle promotion to provide our loyal SuperLotto Plus players with more chances to win prizes. The Raffle concept was a pilot project for us. Our goal is to come up with even more added value games and promotions for our SuperLotto Plus players in the months ahead, and the early buzz is that our SLP players are really enjoying this promotion.
After much discussion, the Lottery has decided to end the promotion at the end of March to better focus our efforts on the launch of Powerball, our newest multi-state game that starts with a $40 million jackpot. Powerball kicks off in California April 8 with the first day of ticket sales, and April 10 with the first live draw in Sacramento.
So until the end of March, keep buying those SLP tickets for your chance to win additional prizes in the final three SLP Raffle draws. We promise you there’s more to come!
As a reminder, here are the logistics of the promotion:
Q. What is the “Buy SuperLotto Plus, Get Raffle Entries” promotion?
A. Beginning February 26, 2013 and ending March 30, 2013 at 2:15 a.m., players will receive a number of entries for every “X” dollars of SuperLotto Plus plays purchased:
Buy $1 in SuperLotto Plus- Get 1 RAFFLE entry number
Buy $2-$4 SuperLotto Plus- Get 4 RAFFLE entry numbers
Buy $5-$9 SuperLotto Plus- Get 10 RAFFLE entry numbers
Buy $10 in SuperLotto Plus- Get 25 RAFFLE entry numbers
• Promotional draws will occur every Sunday until the end of March
FIRST Draw: March 3, 2013 – LAST Draw: March 31, 2013
Eligibility is through March 30 at 2:15 a.m.
Winning numbers to be posted within three business days after the draw

Q. Why is the Lottery running this “Buy SuperLotto Plus, Get Raffle Entries” promotion?
A. The Lottery wishes to reward the loyalty of its SuperLotto Plus players with more chances to win from a variety of player activities, especially when a player has maintained an ongoing, direct relationship with the Lottery. This is a “thank you” for playing SuperLotto Plus. The promotion gives our loyal players incremental chances to win. The more you buy, the more raffle tickets you get.
Q. Do players have to do anything SPECIAL to enter the Raffle draws?
A. No … simply purchase $1 (or more) of SuperLotto Plus during each Raffle draw period and receive a Raffle entry (or entries). Do not purchase you SLP ticket using the COMBO Play option.
Q. Can I enter the Raffle more than once?
A. YES! You enter the raffle with each purchase of SuperLotto Plus® during the promotion period.
Q. Can I win more than one Raffle prize in each draw?
A. Yes. Players can win multiple cash prizes in each weekly Raffle drawing.
Q. If I purchase a CA COMBO PLAY ticket will I get a SuperLotto Plus Raffle ticket?
A. No. You cannot participate in the SuperLotto Plus Raffle using the CA Combo Play button. Please purchase your SuperLotto Plus tickets separately from the cashier to receive a SuperLotto Plus Raffle ticket.
Q. If I am selected as a winner, how do I claim my Raffle prize?
A. Players can claim their $500 Raffle prize at any California Lottery Retailer, any California Lottery District Office, or fill-out and submit a claim form to:

You can download a claim for here. Players have 180 days from the date of the Raffle draw to claim their prizes.
Please allow 8 weeks for receipt of your prize. If your address or telephone number changes, or if you have any questions, please contact the Lottery Customer Service Department at its toll-free number, 1-800-LOTTERY, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm PT.
Q. How will I know if I’ve won a Raffle prize?
A. Players may check their Raffle entries using the Check-a-Ticket machines and/or any Lottery terminal. The Lottery will also post the winning Raffle numbers directly to the Lottery website within three business days after each Raffle draw.
Q. How will this Raffle promotion be communicated to players?
A. Information about these promotions will appear on the Lottery website, be available at Retailers, and will be presented on all Lottery social media.
Q. How can a player get a copy of the Raffle promotion’s Official Rules?
A. The Official Rules will be posted above. For additional information, please call 1-800-LOTTERY.
Now, there are a few issues that have come up since the launch of the Raffle promotion that we’d like to clarify:
Q. Can the Retailer tell me which winning raffle numbers were drawn?
A. Yes, but some may direct you to the Check-a-Ticket machine, where you can see for yourself if you’re a winner.
Q. What will happen to the remaining promotional prizes if you end this promotion earlier than planned?
A. The remaining promotional prizes will simply be put toward a future promotion for Lottery players.
Again, the Lottery plans to have more of these sorts of promotions in the near future.
