SuperLotto Plus Players Retention Promotion Official Rules
PURPOSE: The California Lottery (Lottery) will conduct a SuperLotto Plus Player Retention Promotion to maintain interest in the SuperLotto Plus game, reward loyal SuperLotto Plus players and increase the Lottery’s contribution to education. During the promotion period of February 1st through June 18th, special draws will be conducted for all eligible registered and opt-in players on the Lottery’s public website. An eligible person is automatically entered into the special draw if they are registered and opted-in to receive SuperLotto Plus Jackpot Alerts and/or Winning Numbers reports on the Lottery’s public website. *Forty $500 prizes will be awarded for the draw on February 25th. One $5,000 prize will be awarded on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month March through June. This promotion is subject to these official rules and requirements in addition to state and federal law and the California Lottery’s Regulations.
TERMS OF PROMOTION: This promotion will be in effect from February 1, 2013 through June 18, 2013. The Lottery reserves the right to terminate or extend this promotion at any time.
ELIGIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION: All eligible players who are registered on the Lottery website AND who are opted-in to receive SuperLotto Plus Jackpot Alerts and/or Winning Numbers reports at the time of the draw entry close (end of business Opt-In Drawing Date*) are eligible for that specific draw. The odds of winning a prize depend on how many eligible opted-in registered players are entered at the time of the draw. A person working for or with the California State Lottery is not eligible to participate in this promotion. Winners will be notified and can collect their prize in the same manner that all prizes are claimed, following Lottery regulations and procedures. Winners have 60 days from the date of the draw to claim their prizes.

Q. What is the Registration & Opt-In promotion?
A. Every player who is both REGISTERED on the California Lottery website and has OPTED IN to receive both email from the Lottery and SuperLotto Plus Jackpot-Winning Numbers Alerts will be entered into a drawing on February 25, 2013, for 40 - $500 prizes.
Q. Why is the Lottery running this Registration & Opt-In promotion?
A. The Lottery wishes to reward the loyalty of its SuperLotto Plus players with more chances to win from a variety of player activities, especially when a player has maintained an ongoing, direct relationship with the Lottery. This is a “thank you” promotion.
Q. When will the Registration & Opt-In promotion begin and end?
A. The promotion has already started. Anyone registered and opted-in for Jackpot Alerts and/or Winning Numbers for SuperLotto Plus will be included in the drawing. This Register and Opt-In promotion will have an official end date of June 18, 2013. The Lottery retains the right to change the end date of this promotion at any time.
Q. How do players enter this Registration & Opt-In promotion?

Q. How much can a player win?
A. On February 25, 2013, the Lottery will draw 40 Registered/Opted-In names to claim their $500 prize within 60 days of this special draw date. Each name can win only once.
Q. How will players know if they’ve won?
A. The Lottery will contact the winners directly via email and provide claim forms within 5 business days of each draw and post the winners’ names at calottery.com.
Q. What are the odds of winning?
A. The odds depend on the number of eligible Registered/Opted In players.
Q. What are the twice monthly draws for $5,000?
A. Following the first draw, on February 25, 2013, every player who REMAINS REGISTERED and OPTED-IN through June 18th will be eligible for entry into a twice monthly draw for $5,000–drawn on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. The Lottery will contact the winners directly via email providing claim forms within 5 business days of each draw as well as post the winners’ names at calottery.com.

A: Roll your cursor over the MY ACCOUNT navigation bar and it will ‘flyout’ offering more information. Click on EDIT PERSONAL DETAILS and scroll down just below your email address. A box is available to click allowing the Lottery to send you promotional announcements. That box must be checked to be opted-in. Click UPDATE complete your changes.
Q: I’m already a registered player who has signed up for promotional messages, how do I only sign up for SLP jackpot alerts and/or winning numbers?
A: On the Lottery’s Homepage roll your cursor over the MY ACCOUNT navigation bar and it will ‘flyout’ offering more information. Click on EDIT ALERTS and two boxes will appear for SuperLotto Plus alerts.
