On August 30, Lottery Director Joan Wilson presented the Lottery Retailer of the Year Award for 2000 to Jhon and G-K Dhaliwal and their sons, owners of 7th Heaven Market in Laguna Niguel. Also present at the award ceremony were Jeanette Krembas of the district office of Assemblywoman Patricia Bates, Assistant Superintendent Jackie Price of Capistrano Unified School District and Linda Lindholm, representing Mayor Mimi Walters.7th Heaven's Lottery sales for the past five years total over $2.9 million, which means that the store has generated over $1 million to California public schools.The Dhaliwals are noted for the warm and friendly atmosphere of their store and for being enthusiastic supporters of the Lottery. They are active contributors to their community, including running a store recycling program that benefits their local school.
