Contestants on "The Big Spin®" Win More Than $190,000

genaroSACRAMENTO – California Lottery players from across the state won a total of $197,500 on “The Big Spin®” show that aired Saturday, July 3, 2004.

Genaro Limon from Los Angeles and Juan Echeverria of Costa Mesa were the two finalists from round one of the “Aces High” game.  In round two, Limon won a chance to spin the wheel, while Echeverria won $5,000.  Limon, who bought his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Olympic Donuts in Los Angeles, spun the wheel for $75,000.  Limon said, “I’m going to buy a car and share my winnings with my family.”

jackJack Keefer, a retiree from Culver City, was the only contestant on this week’s show to play “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine” and won $70,000.  Keefer, who purchased his ticket at Culver Liquor in Culver City, said, “I’m going to buy a new sports utility vehicle with my prize money!”

Tom Wenzel, a business owner from Downey, purchased his Big Spin Scratchers® ticket at Royal Liquor & Grocery in Downey and uncovered Spin-Spin-Spin when he scratched it.  After spinning the largest lottery wheel in the world and winning $30,000, Wenzel said, “I’m going to pay off some bills with my winnings.”
