San Diego Mystery Winner – Where are You? $11 Million SuperLotto Plus® Ticket Unclaimed!

SACRAMENTO – This doesn’t seem possible. It’s now been two months since a ticket sold in San Diego matched all six numbers to win an $11 million SuperLotto Plus jackpot! But, get this – no one has come forward to claim it!

$11 million! That is an incredible amount of money. Even if you took the cash option, you’re looking at an estimated $6.3 million. Yet, for whatever reason, we’re still looking for a winner.

Here’s what you need to know. The draw was August 10, 2013. The winning ticket was purchased at Golden Hill Liquor, which is located at 2795 B Street in San Diego. The winning numbers in that draw were 44, 46, 7, 5, 14 and Mega 27.
Golden Hill Liquor will receive a bonus of one half percent or $55,000 for selling the winning ticket. We put up win signs all over the store the morning after the draw, hoping that people might see them and think to check their tickets. (See photo below).

Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim the prize. If no one claims this jackpot, all $11 million of it will go to support California public schools. That would be nice, but there’s still the chance that the winner simply doesn’t realize that he/she is now a millionaire. We want to give this person every chance to claim what is rightfully theirs.

There is the possibility that we may never know who this winner is. There was $22.3 million in unclaimed prize money transferred to public education in California last fiscal year alone. That includes the $170,000 MEGA Millions® ticket sold at a snack bar at the Naval Base that expired in March.

If you buy tickets at Golden Hill Liquor, please dig them out and check your numbers. If you know someone who lives near there, call them up and tell them to search their tickets too. If you discover that you are the jackpot winner, or if you win any large Lottery prize, the Lottery reminds you to sign the back of your ticket in ink, put it in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit your local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. The one closest to that retailer is the San Diego District Office, which is located at 5656 Ruffin Road in San Diego. The phone number is (858) 492-1700.

SuperLotto Plus is California’s own in-state jackpot game. Players pick five numbers from 1 to 47 plus a Mega number from 1 to 27. The draw takes place at Lottery Headquarters in Sacramento Wednesdays and Saturdays right after draw entry closes at 7:45 p.m. PST. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers. Please visit the California Lottery’s SuperLotto Plus site for more information.

The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities.
