SACRAMENTO – Maria Sanchez just received the best early Christmas present of all time. She is the California Lottery’s latest $1 million prize winner, thanks to the $250 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers game.

Sanchez and a friend came into the Lottery’s Santa Fe Springs District Office this morning to claim the game’s top prize after she scratched the big winner about a week ago. She said she’s a regular Scratchers player, and is still thinking about how she’d like to use her winnings.

Sanchez bought her ticket at the ampm located at 13411 Imperial Highway in Whittier (Los Angeles County). The retailer is a winner too. ampm will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
