Winner Claims $40 Million SuperLotto Plus® Jackpot!

Share:

SACRAMENTO – The wait is over for the winner of the $40 million SuperLotto Plus jackpot from December. Rexis de Guia has claimed his prize and adding to the excitement is that he’s part of a group of five who will share the jackpot!

The lucky ticket was purchased at Albany Hill Mini Mart, which is located at 800 San Pablo Avenue in Albany (Alameda County). The ticket matched all six numbers from the December 16th draw: 21, 17, 44, 4, 37, and the Mega number 17.

Rexis de Guia and his group respectfully declined any potential requests for media interviews or to take a winner photo. No additional information about him or the group will be released.

And more good news includes the owner of Albany Hill Mini Mart. The owners will receive a retailer bonus of $200,000 just for selling the winning ticket.

SuperLotto Plus is California’s own in-state jackpot game. Players pick five numbers from 1 to 47 plus a Mega number from 1 to 27. The draw takes place at Lottery Headquarters in Sacramento on Wednesdays and Saturdays, right after draw entry closes at 7:45 p.m. PST. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 22,000 California Lottery retailers or one of the more than 4,000 Lottery Lucky Retailers. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a ticket, play, or claim a prize. Please visit the California Lottery’s SuperLotto Plus site for more information.

SuperLotto Plus is a part of the Lottery’s continued effort to create more winners, and more importantly, earn more money for California public schools!

The California Lottery is a $6 billion enterprise based in Sacramento. It is one of the few state agencies that is a revenue generator, not accepting taxpayer dollars from the State’s General Fund. Its mission is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. In FY 2016-17, the Lottery created 83 new millionaires. Ninety-five cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
