Regular Lottery Player Wins Big on Smokin’ Hot Cash Scratchers® Ticket
SACRAMENTO – John Lemon has a great attitude and as a cancer survivor, it’s no surprise. Lemon recently purchased a $5 Smokin’ Hot Cash Scratchers ticket and won the top prize of $250,000. When asked if he had ever won anything playing the Lottery before, he explained, “I win every time I play because I have the means to play.” Yep, that’s a great attitude!
Lemon was at his son’s house checking on him after an auto accident when he scratched the two tickets he had bought. He won $6 on the first one and then he scratched the second. He said to his son, “Wow, look at this,” as he handed his son the $6 winner. His son replied, “Yeah, so what?” Then he handed him the second ticket. His son had to look at it several times before realizing what his father had won. Lemon remained calm even as he claimed his prize, stating he must still be in disbelief. And even though he has a great attitude, the retiree is also a realist. He plans to spend part of his prize on his “final arrangements” so he can relieve his family of the burden. After that, he plans to pay off his debt and help his kids pay off “part of their debt, but not all of it,” he explained. See, he’s also a realist.
Lemon purchased his winning ticket at Town Deli & Liquor, which is located at 5946 South Main Street in Los Angeles.
