Nipton, Hacienda Heights Tickets Split MEGA Millions® Prize Worth Nearly $900,000

SACRAMENTO – Can you imagine discovering that you won nearly a half a million dollars just days before Christmas? Two lucky California Lottery players are about to find out just how that feels. That’s because the two big winners struck it rich in last night’s MEGA Millions draw to the tune of $892,584, making each ticket worth a whopping $446,292.

One lucky ticket was sold at Market One Liquor, which is located at 16052 Gale Avenue in Hacienda Heights (Los Angeles County). The other was purchased at Primm Valley Lotto, which is located at I-15 and Stateline Nevada in Nipton (San Bernardino County). The tickets successfully matched the numbers 7, 18, 29, 1, 6, missing only the Mega number of 16.

The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their ticket, keep tickets in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.

MEGA Millions is a multistate game, played in California and 43 other jurisdictions (41 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Players pick five numbers from 1 to 56 plus a Mega number from 1 to 46. Draw times are Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. PST. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers. Please visit the California Lottery’s MEGA Millions site for more information.
