Fantasy 5 is a Favorite in San Jose as the Fifth Big Winner of the Year Comes Forward!
SACRAMENTO – The luck in San Jose continues! Get this – our latest big winner, Sheila Sarsfield, is the fifth Fantasy 5 winner to purchase a top prize-winning ticket in San Jose in the last year! Sarsfield came into the Lottery’s East Bay District Office Friday and claimed her winning ticket from the May 20th, 2014 drawing – a ticket worth a cool $175,794.
The lucky ticket was purchased at the Bonfare Market located at 1090 Leigh Avenue in San Jose (Santa Clara County). The Bonfare Market is a winner as well, picking up a bonus of $878.98, or one half of one percent of the winning amount, just for selling the top prize-winning ticket.
The other Fantasy 5 winning tickets bought in San Jose worth more than $150,000 for the year were:
$184,215 on January 14th, 2014;
$370,951 on November 24th, 2013;
$289,471 on July 16th, 2013; and
$317,665 on June 8th, 2013.
All this comes in addition to the massive $324 million Mega Millions® win back in December by Steve Tran, who purchased his winning ticket at a store in San Jose.
