Wife Doubtful of Winning Ticket Given by Prankster Husband

San Bernardino County Scratchers® Ticket Worth Half a Million Dollars

SACRAMENTO – Minerva Chagolla’s husband bought her a surprise last week – a $500,000 Riches Scratchers ticket. She scratched it and it said she won the top prize, but she admits she was doubtful. “I thought it was a fake ticket, like the ones you buy in novelty stores.” In fact, she didn’t believe it was real until she came into the Lottery’s Inland Empire District Office to claim her prize. “Then I started jumping up and down,” she added.

Chagolla plans to pay off debt and maybe buy a new car. She giggled as she realized she could buy almost any car she wanted with this prize, “I know. I just can’t believe it!”

Chagolla’s husband bought her winning ticket at Sami’s IX Market & Liquor, which is located at 14529 San Bernardino Drive in Fontana (San Bernardino County).

$500,000 Riches is one of the Lottery’s $5 Scratchers tickets, with a top prize of – you guessed it – $500,000. Just match any of your numbers to any of the five winning numbers and win that prize. Uncover a money bag symbol to automatically win 10 times that prize. Uncover a gold bar symbol and win all 18 prizes automatically!

The winning doesn’t stop there – like all Lottery Scratchers games, $500,000 Riches comes with second chances to win the top prizes. Just subscribe to our 2nd Chance Program and submit any non-winning $500,000 Riches Scratchers ticket code for a chance to win.
