California POWERBALL® Ticket Worth Over $3 Million!

Share:

Two Fantasy 5 Tickets Win Nearly $200,000 Each!

SACRAMENTO – Last night, one lucky California Lottery player was just one number away from snagging the gigantic $235 million POWERBALL jackpot. However, since that lucky player matched five out of six numbers, their ticket is still worth a whopping $3,095,357! That prize amount makes it the largest-ever POWERBALL prize won in California. The ticket matched the numbers 8, 24, 59, 39 and 49, missing only the Powerball number 5.

The ticket was purchased at Trimana Express, which is located at 633 West 5th Street in Los Angeles. This ticket wasn’t the only winner last night, as two Fantasy 5 tickets matched all five numbers to split the top prize of $387,994. One of those tickets was sold at Castaic Unocal 76, which is located at 31786 The Old Road in Castaic (Los Angeles County). The other winning ticket was sold at Lincoln 76, which is located at 1200 La Playa in San Francisco. The two Fantasy 5 tickets correctly matched the numbers 15, 6, 33, 37 and 38.

Meanwhile, the POWERBALL jackpot just keeps rolling and is an estimated $290 million for Saturday night’s draw.

The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their tickets, keep tickets in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.

Fantasy 5 offers some of the best odds of any California Lottery game. A player wins the Fantasy 5 jackpot simply by matching five numbers out of a field of 39. Winning numbers are drawn every day. The top prize starts at $50,000 and increases daily until it is hit. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers.

And be sure to participate in the California Lottery’s Fantasy 5 Bonus Bucks promotion. For every purchase of $5 or more of Fantasy 5 on a single ticket you will automatically receive a Fantasy 5 Bonus Bucks code. Enter the code at https://secondchance.calottery.com/second-chance/index/index/type/FANTASY5/ to participate in weekly draws for a chance to win cash prizes up to $10,000.

POWERBALL is a multistate game, played in California and 44 other jurisdictions (42 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Players pick five numbers from 1 to 59 plus a Powerball number from 1 to 35. Draw times are Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:59 p.m. PST. Tickets sales are suspended from 7:00 p.m. to 7:05 p.m. the day of the draw. Tickets are $2 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers. Please visit the California Lottery’s POWERBALL site for more information.
