Lady Luck Strikes San Diego County Yet Again!

Share:

Winning Streak Reaches Three (and Counting) as $280,000 Fantasy 5 Ticket Sold in San Marcos

SACRAMENTO – This is getting a little bit hard to believe – but it sure is a blast keeping track and spreading the news to San Diegans! Somebody who purchased a Fantasy 5 ticket in San Marcos won last night’s draw – matching all five numbers – and most importantly, will now walk away with the top prize of $280,047.

The winning ticket was sold at G Market & Liquor, which is located at 577 S. Rancho Santa Fe Road #106 – as we mentioned, in San Marcos (San Diego County). The winning numbers are 10-17-19-26 and 39.

This marks the third time in a row a winning California Lottery draw game ticket has been purchased in San Diego County! (That’s a nice little winning streak that might even get the Chargers’ attention!)

• This past Tuesday (Nov. 5), someone in Oceanside matched five of six numbers in the Mega Millions® draw and won $410,115.

• On October 25, a still unidentified player bought the winning Fantasy 5 ticket in Santee, and stands to walk away with $379,925.

Throw in last night’s win, and you have three in a row. And if you want to get technical, the last three Fantasy 5 winning tickets in California were also all sold at retailers in San Diego County! (On October 21, another lucky San Diegan matched all five numbers and took home $186,783.)

This is a pretty big state if you haven’t noticed! So this lucky streak is definitely something to write home about – or better yet, buy a new home if you’re next to strike it rich. After all, winning is in the air, and since it’s a holiday weekend for a lot of Californians, you have an extra day to head to a Lottery retailer and try to help push the San Diego winning streak to four!

If you check your ticket and discover you have a big win, the California Lottery reminds you to sign the back of your ticket, keep it in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit your local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. The one closest to where all these tickets were sold is the San Diego District Office, which is located at 5656 Ruffin Road in San Diego. Their phone number is (858) 492-1700.

Fantasy 5 offers some of the best odds of any California Lottery game. A player wins the Fantasy 5 jackpot simply by matching five numbers out of a field of 39. Winning numbers are drawn every day. The top prize starts at $50,000 and increases daily until it is hit. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any of the more than 21,000 California Lottery retailers.

And be sure to participate in the California Lottery’s Fantasy 5 – 2nd Chance promotion. For every purchase of $5 or more of Fantasy 5 on a single ticket you will automatically receive a Fantasy 5 – 2nd Chance code. Enter the code at https://secondchance.calottery.com/second-chance/index/index/type/FANTASY5/ to participate in weekly draws for a chance to win cash prizes up to $10,000.

The mission of the California Lottery is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. More than 96 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
