California Lottery Launches Lucky Retailer Site

SACRAMENTO – Feeling lucky? Well, we are, and what better way to prove it than to introduce our new and improved Lucky Retailers site. Here you can easily find Lucky Retailers by entering an address, a city or ZIP Code. With more than 21,000 Lottery retail locations scattered throughout the state, we’ve identified more than 4,000 of our retailer partners who, time after time, sell more winning tickets and create more California winners.

Lucky Retailers are Lottery retailers that pay out large amounts of prizes to players in the past calendar year. Specifically, in the last calendar year they’ve:

v   Paid out a $100,000 or higher winning ticket

v   Paid out an average of 400 winning tickets per week

v   Paid out an average of $4,000 in winning tickets per week

We’ve also included what we call our Historical Lucky Retailers. Those partners are locations that sold two or more winning tickets of $1 million or more from the time we sold our first ticket in 1985.

We recently visited one of our Lucky Retailers in Riverside County. Check out how they earned that title, and find out what they did with their bonuses here.

Regardless of what you buy and where you buy, the California Lottery has plenty of options to enjoy our draw and instant games. As always, we encourage you to play responsibly and within your limits, and remember, it’s not OK to play under 18.

The California Lottery is a $5 billion enterprise based in Sacramento. It is one of the few state agencies that is a revenue generator, not accepting taxpayer dollars. Its mission is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. In FY 2013-14, the Lottery created 89 new millionaires. More than 95 cents of every dollar spent by our players goes back to local communities in the form of contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery urges its customers to play responsibly and within their budgets. If you feel you have a gambling problem, or know someone who does, you can get help at 1-800-GAMBLER.
