MEDIA ADVISORY - Retailer of the Year Event in San Francisco
| WHAT: |
One of the California Lottery’s top 10 retailers, D & G Group Company, will be honored as the Lottery’s 2009 “Retailer of the Year” at a ceremony in San Francisco. D & G averages weekly sales of $62,000 and has sold $7.8 million in Lottery products since becoming a retailer in 2007. This translates to $2.6 million for California public schools.
Aside from his commitment to selling Lottery products, owner Jim Zhao donates generously to Chinatown Child Development Center and programs to benefit self-help for the elderly.
The California Lottery Retailer of the Year award is bestowed annually to one of the more than 21,000 retailers in the Lottery’s network. Retailers are evaluated, not only on sales levels, but on customer service, community involvement and enthusiasm when marketing Lottery products.
