SACRAMENTO – California Lottery players didn’t need to match all six numbers to win a sizeable prize in last night’s SuperLOTTO Plus draw! In fact, no one hit all six SuperLOTTO Plus numbers in Wednesday night’s draw for the jackpot, but four tickets sold in Pinedale, Anaheim, Laguna Beach and San Pedro still won $19,279 each.
The ticket in Pinedale was sold at Pinedale Liquor at 7339 North Blackstone Avenue. The ticket in Anaheim was sold at Rainbow Liquor Mart at 3200 West Ball Road. The ticket in Laguna Beach was sold at Stop & Go at 1390 North Pacific Coast Highway. The ticket in San Pedro was sold at Harbor Village Liquor at 2414 South Western Avenue.
More than 105,000 tickets returned winning prizes last night worth more than $770,000.
California Lottery players can shoot for other jackpots this weekend. The MEGA Millions jackpot is up for grabs Friday night and is worth $145 million. The next SuperLOTTO Plus jackpot draw is Saturday. Then, players will be aiming for $23 million. Tickets for both SuperLOTTO Plus and MEGA Millions cost $1 a play. Players can find authorized retailers by visiting www.calottery.com/locations.
The California Lottery wants to remind winners to sign the back of their tickets, keep tickets in a safe place and contact Lottery officials or visit your local Lottery District Office (http://www.calottery.com/AboutUs/Locations) as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.
More than 95 cents of every Lottery dollar is returned to the community in the form of contributions to education, prizes and retail commissions. The California Lottery contributes at least 34 cents of every dollar that players spend on Lottery products to public education and returns more than 50 percent of sales to players in the form of prizes. Since its inception in 1985, the Lottery has contributed more than $20 billion to California schools out of total sales of nearly $55 billion. Retailers benefit too, earning $3.5 billion in compensation since 1985.
