SACRAMENTO - On The Big Spin show this week one contestant landed on "TRIPLE," another played Fantasy 5 Dream Machine, while another outplayed nine contestants on Aces High sending her to the Big Spin wheel. Together they won a total of $280,000. The show aired statewide Saturday, June 23, 2007, and a total of $302,500 was won.
Cynthia Tran, a secretary from Sacramento, never thought a trip to the laundromat would turn into a trip to The Big Spin show. While doing her laundry one day she decided to go next door to the donut shop and buy a Scratchers® ticket uncovering a Spin-Spin-Spin sending her to the Big Spin wheel. As if this wasn"t exciting enough, her luck continued when her spin landed on the "TRIPLE" spoke, giving her the opportunity to triple her prize. Her second spin landed on $60,000 giving her a total of $180,000! "Wow, I can"t believe it," said Tran, when asked what she plans to do with her winnings, she replied, "I"m going to save for my children"s education and taking my mom and sister to Australia for a well deserved vacation."
When David Ford of Lakeside received the phone call that he would be a contestant on The Big Spin show to play Fantasy 5 Dream Machine, he fell off the couch! Ford, a newlywed (though he"s known his wife for over forty years), would like to take his bride on a belated honeymoon with his $50,000 cash prize.
What do you do when you"re having a bad day? Buy a Big Spin Scratchers ticket! At least that"s what Louise Casarez from Fresno did, which sent her to the Big Spin show. After outplaying nine other contestants on Aces High, she went straight to The Big Spin wheel giving her a $50,000 win. Casarez plans to help her daughters with a down payment on a house. "I want people to see that good things happen to good people," said Casarez.
